voucherfor.it gives you voucher codes as you shop

If you shop online and use Google Chrome as your web browser, you might want to check out a new Chrome extension called voucherfor.it.

When you visit online retailers, this handy little tool gives you the latest voucher codes and discount information for each site you visit. For example, visit amazon.co.uk and this will happen:

voucherfor.it

See that blue line at the top? That’s voucherfor.it, listing 55 sale offers and discounts on the site, one after the other. It isn’t obtrusive in the least, although if you want to view all the offers on one screen, you can do so by pressing the “Show All” button on the top right of the screen:

voucherfor.it all

It is simple to install, with no registration required, and very easy to use. I have been testing it out for the past few weeks and there are a couple of downsides: it is only available to Chrome users right now, and it doesn’t work for every retailer. Some of the bigger names in retail sites, such as M&S and ASOS, appear to be excluded at present: when I visit them, there is no sign of the voucherfor.it blue line.

That said, voucherfor.it only launched relatively recently, so these are early days and I expect that the list of retailers will grow along with the user base.

I also suspect that the more brand loyalty you have, the more you will get out of this tool. For example, if you  shop at your favourite online store out of habit, having all the latest offers handed to you on a plate whenever you visit will save you both time and money.
