Joining the Yakezie Network

Miss Thrifty7 May 28, 2010

”The I’m pleased to announce that as of today, Miss Thrifty is a proud member of the Yakezie blog network.

Yakezie kicked off in America at the beginning of this year, founded by Financial Samurai and open to personal finance bloggers. The network’s original aim was to find ways to boost the Alexa rankings of the members’ blogs between January and July 2010. Since then, however, the network’s community, objectives and achievements have blossomed. It has become an enthusiastic group of bloggers who are dedicated to finding and sharing the best personal finance on the web.

Recently I began noticing the hashtag #yakezie popping up more and more frequently on Twitter – usually appended to a jolly good blog post. Yakezie has also spawned it’s own blog carnival!

So I asked the organisers if I could join. I’m far too late to play a meaningful part in the original Alexa challenge, but I am one of the very first UK members (w00t!) and I am looking forward to contributing and sharing some great posts with Miss Thrifty readers.

Hello Miss Thrifty!

I just wanted to welcome you to the bunch. I interned in Parliament for the Welsh Plaid Cymru party in college (2003), and had an awesome time! I worked for MP Simon Thomas.

Wish you the best, and I’ll keep my eye out for your posts.
