BHS has just put EVERYTHING on its website on sale, with a discount of 24 per cent for 24 hours only. From now until midday on Thursday 11 April 2013, shop at BHS.co.uk and the discount will be applied at the checkout.
The deal applies to sale items too. BHS currently has a sale on across all departments, with many items at half-price, so there are opportunities for some significant savings.
I am doing a bad job of hiding my excitement, aren’t I? The truth is, I love BHS. I know it has a fuddy-duddy image, but if you step inside a store or have a root around on the website, you’ll know that reputation is no longer deserved. My bridesmaids’ shoes came from BHS (£14.99 a pair); so did a lot of my homeware, and the mirrors in my bathroom.
Just last week I was wandering around the swanky new BHS store in Leeds city centre, musing upon the fact that the BHS home department has become something of a well-kept secret: Take the lighting department (above). Check it out if you’re in the market for new shades or chandeliers; the ranges are good quality, and let’s just say that to my mind, you can get a lot more bang for your buck than elsewhere.
I am also a fan of the BHS vintage bedding ranges. Cath Kidston and PIP Studio fans, walk this way!
To give you an idea of prices, the patchwork sets like the one in the picture start at £28 for a single duvet cover, pillowcase and fitted sheet, rising to £44 for a kingsize set. That’s before the discount, which brings the prices down to £21.28 and £33.44. The Vintage Brighton bedspread in the foreground is currently half-price, reduced from £90 to £45. With the 24 per cent discount, that’s £34.20.
I can’t find the LOVE cushions on the website (although as you can see, they were definitely in-store last week); however similar cushions from the Vintage Brighton range are also half-price, reduced from £30 to £15 each. The 24 per cent discount brings them down to £11.40.
Not bad, eh?
Thanks to the eagle-eyed Penny GoLightly for spotting this deal.
