Would you like to win a £100 John Lewis voucher? Then read on…

The insurance brokers at Drewberry Insurance would like feedback on their new online insurance tool, and have teamed up with the Miss Thrifty Blog for a John Lewis-tastic giveaway.

Like previous giveaways, this one is exclusive to the Thrifties – AKA the canny bargain-hunters who have signed up to receive the latest Miss Thrifty posts and deals by email.

So if you already subscribe and you are reading this in an email: the odds are already in your favour.

If a spending spree in good old John Lewis would be just the ticket, but you haven’t yet signed up: now’s your chance. This competition doesn’t close until Friday 20 June 2014. The Join The Thrifties sign-up box is in the top right-hand corner on every page of the Miss Thrifty Blog.

To enter, just follow the instructions below.

How to enter to win a £100 John Lewis voucher

1. Be a current email subscriber.

2. Check out the Drewberry Insurance Family Insurance Tool. The tool aims to help you understand any financial risks faced by your family, and suggests useful policies to cover those risks.

3. Leave a comment at the bottom of this blog post, with your feedback on the tool. We aren’t expecting essays, just initial impressions and/or a thought or two.

The giveaway closes at 11:59pm GMT on 20 June 14, and is open to UK residents. One entry per email subscriber. The winner will be selected using a random number generator, and will be announced in a future blog post.

Good luck!

Very easy to use and would be a very useful tool if you have all the info required ready

This seems a cut above the usual hard sell on insurance, as it focusses more on what your needs might be and how you could cover them, so you can decide if you wish to pursue a quote or not. quite informative and easy to navigate. I’d use this site again.

I thought it was a really good site – easy to use, good plain English, easy to understand explanations. I liked the Principles at the bottom of the page, and the option to speak to someone rather than just online communication.

The front page is clear and easy to navigate around. I like the fact that you include a simple and straightforward description of each type of insurance and who may benefit from it.

However, I do feel like there is too much content on the front page and you have to scroll a long way to get to the bottom. I think that I would therefore put the calculators on a separate page to that of the descriptions of each type of insurance.

I really like the tool and it was definitely simple and easy to use, very quick too with so few questions. However even with the really cute graphics, I feel the page is almost too white. I would prefer if the cross-hatch grey background continued all the way down instead of fading out into simple white. This may just be personal preference however.

Interesting tool. I was surprised that the risk of of being unable to work for 2 or more months actually decreases with age – one would have thought that you are more like to be ill with a long-term illness as you get older.
