Readers could enter via the blog, and double their chances of winning by entering again on the Miss Thrifty Facebook page, if they were fans. The competition closed at 12 noon on Sunday 19 September. By then we had 215 Miss Thrifty blog entries on the blog, and 39 Miss Thrifty Facebook entries. This gives a grand total of 254 entries.
To pick a winner, I racked the entries in the order of blog+Facebook and turned to this online number generator:
