Holed up at Frugal Grandma’s

Miss Thrifty8 May 3, 2013

With the May bank holiday looming, I’ve taken some time to recharge batteries this week. Thrifty Baby and I went to see Frugal Grandma and Frugal Grandad.

We were completely spoilt, of course. There is much to be said for good food…

Good weather…

With days like these, who needs spa breaks?

Lovely photos, that crab looks divine. Where abouts is this it looks like Kent?

the crab was amazing! This is Mersea Island, in Essex. Although I live in Yorkshire, I’m an Essex girl really. 😉

Beautiful photos. ‘Who needs spa breaks’ indeed. We’re off camping at the end of May. We invested in a really good quality pop-up tent and good quality camping equipment (all thoroughly researched first of course!). Five nights for five people for around £100. Marvellous! 🙂

Upload these lovely pics to Bigstock or Istock and make a little money?

Thanks all! 🙂

Bellocchild – do you think they are good enough? They are just Instagram snaps on my phone!

It looks like you had a very restorative time! Much needed in blogging world:). We just went camping last weekend and it was divine to be in nature, and to turn off the phone and laptop for two whole days.

Wow! If that’s what a thrifty retirement looks like, I’m in! Sunshine and sea food and great company are my three favourite things.
