BOOK GIVEAWAY: How to Look Good Naked…Can Change Your Life
Here’s another book giveaway – and this time I have two copies to be won! How to Look Good Naked…Can Change Your Life is a glossy hardbacked book, based on the successful UK television series, which is filled with pictures, ideas and advice. It retails at £12.99, or £7.99 on Amazon.
This book would make a great present, either for you or for someone on your list. Everyone loves Gok Wan, don’t they? (Apart from readers outside the UK, who are probably reading this and thinking, “Gok wot?” Trust me, ladies – he is a world away from Carson Kressley!) This competition is open to readers around the world but I am setting a fairly short deadline, so that I can get copies posted out to UK winners in time to meet the Royal Mail’s Christmas posting deadline.
And here’s the official book blurb:
Whether you’re tall or short, fat or thin, apple-bottomed or muffin-topped? “How To Look Good Naked…Can Change Your Life” is your ultimate guide to looking hot with what you’ve got.
Showcasing twenty women featured on the program, each with a different insecurity about her body shape and each learning to become a body-rater not a body-hater, flaunting what they’ve got and cunningly drawing attention away from what they’ve not.
With top tips for accentuating natural curves and countering shapelessness, advice on salon products, fashion musts and fashion no-no’s, this book will change your life. With detailed advice on facing body fears, building up confidence, addressing self-perception, working with your body and wearing clothes that make you look and feel good, that flatter your shape and emphasize the best bits of your body, “How To Look Good Naked…Can Change Your Life” shows you how to look fantastic with your clothes on or off no matter what your body shape.
Here is what you need to do to be in with a chance of winning. Simply leave a comment below, with a thrifty tip for looking good. It could be an old, popular favourite that works for you; it could be your own discovery. If the last book giveaway was anything to go by, Miss Thrifty readers are bursting at the seams with fabulous tips and ideas – c’mon, let’s hear them!
The closing date is 12 noon GMT on Wednesday 16 December. I’ll pick the winning names at random, out of a virtual hat, and will be in touch with the winners to get the prizes posted out pronto.

Good tip to hide the Xmas bulge. Tie your belt or even just a piece of elastic around your hip line. It holds your skirt close to your thighs which automatically takes inches off visually. Cover the tum with an overhanging top.

BELTS!! my holy grail! an effortless waist-cincher will transform u from frumpy 2 foxy in seconds! add on on top of a plain tshirt for instant glamour or bring together a baggy t-shirt/dress with a plain or more extravagant belt (depending on how detailed the tshirt/dress is!) and you will see a waist you never knew you had! simple!

My wife would love this in her Christmas Stocking (!) this year. A tip from a bloke would have to be leaving your shirt untucked as it does hide a belly a lot better than a tucked-in shirt….!! and i should know (!)

Find a style that suits you. Don’t waste money on trends that come and go. Fashion changes so quickly it soon becomes expensive. Being individual is much more sexy! If you find a ‘look’ you feel comfortable with, you’re half way there to looking good. Merry Christmas all!
